Welcome to Yes for KSD Schools

We are parents, community members, and students who aim to empower and educate our community on the significance of levies and bonds, ensuring every student benefits from a superior education and a supportive learning environment. Our commitment is to unite and guide Kent towards a prosperous educational future.

Every three to four years, Kent School District (KSD) asks the community to consider renewing levies or bonds that fund staff, technology, programs, and build or repair school buildings. Our next election is

April 23, 2024.

K-12 school districts are not fully funded by the state, so districts rely on levies for operations and staffing called Educational Programs & Operations levies (EP&O). In addition, the state does not fund construction costs. Our students and schools rely on these critical local bonds and levies to fund building improvements, repairs, replacement schools and technology education.

We need your support and your YES vote on April 23, 2024, to approve Capital Projects & Technology Replacement funding.

The KSD School Board unanimously approved a resolution in February for the April 23 ballot – the Capital Projects & Technology Replacement Levy.

This levy replaces current funding to support health and safety, repairs and improvements, and technology to prepare students for real-world jobs.
